TRAINING SEMINARS
What a great time was had by all at our latest training session on Saturday October 22nd. Margaret Auger, a certified Holistic Health Coach, spoke in detail about The Integrative Nutrition® food pyramid which includes a balance of high quality vegetables, fruits, grains, proteins, healthy fats and water. We also had one of our own wonderful nannies, Rosangela Baptista, speak about her 20 years of experience of helping to introduce healthy foods to picky eaters. Both shared great recipes and everyone enjoyed the afternoon and the delicious lunch!
Our training session on June 18th was a tremendous success! Guest speaker Patti Cancellier, a certified Parent Educator and the Education Coordinator for the Parent Encouragement Program, ran an informative seminar for our nannies on positive discipline, challenging behaviors (spitting, hitting, biting and fighting), and dealing with power struggles. Below are some snapshots from the afternoon:
CPR/First Aid Classes
WHN offers a combined CPR (adult /infant) and First Aid class for nannies needing to obtain or renew their certifications. Classes are scheduled for:

- March 24
- April 21
- May 12
- June 23
The classes have limited seating and are from 8:45 am until 12:00 pm. at the WHN office in Bethesda, MD. Upon completion of the course, you will earn the American Safety & Health Institute 2-year certification for CPR and 2-year certificate for standard First Aid.
