WHN White House Nannies
" I just wanted to thank White House Nannies for the childcare services that were provided Saturday at my daughter's wedding.  Karen and her associates were absolutely spectacular in overseeing the little ones throughout the day.  They were fully engaged in keeping the children's attention and interest at all times and were obviously very experienced in taking care of young, energetic toddlers. Sick care policy

White House Nannies’ policy regarding what childhood illnesses our caregivers will or will not handle is flexible. In our experience, common sense and pediatrician’s advice have taught us that there are no absolute rules about when a caregiver can safely and comfortably care for a mildly ill child.

While caregivers learn how to care for children with mild illnesses in their past experience as well as our mandatory Orientation, they are NOT medical personnel. Only with a signed authorization and explicit instructions from the parents will our caregivers administer medications.

Generally, caregivers from White House Nannies have experience caring for children with the following diseases:

· Colds and other mild respiratory infections
· Fevers lower than 102 degrees
· Strep throat (with antibiotics already started)
· Ear infections (with antibiotics already started)
· Diarrhea
· Teething and colicky behavior
· Mild cases of the flu

HOWEVER, we are not able to place caregivers in homes where children have:

· head lice
· highly contagious viruses (especially when antibiotics have not been started)
