Nothing can quite prepare you for what it’s like to bring a newborn home from the hospital. So many questions, so many concerns, so little sleep.

All of White House Nannies’ newborn care providers must have at least 3 recent years of newborn care experience and be CPR and First Aid Certified. In addition to years of experience, many of our elite providers have also received specialized Newborn Care Trainings and certifications. All providers must also pass our rigorous screening and vetting process, which includes a reference check, face-to-face interview, a qualifying exam, orientation, and a comprehensive, professional, independent background check which includes their criminal background, sex offender registry check, and social security verification.

Providers take an evidence-based approach to care and must maintain up to date vaccinations including the Tdap, COVID vaccine, and yearly flu shot.

Overnight Newborn Care

Whether you planned for care in advance, came home from the hospital and are feeling overwhelmed, or are several months in and desperate for sleep — we have you covered. When you hire overnight care from White House Nannies, you’re getting the expert care our agency has delivered for over 30 years. Our providers are experienced and trained to support all of your baby’s needs, set you up for success after they leave, and most importantly, ensure you are getting the sleep you need while your baby receives attentive, professional care.

 

24-hour Care

Need a little extra help? Whether you have another child or children, are having multiples or you simply want additional support, we are here for you. Our newborn care specialists and Registered Nurses will support all of your baby’s needs and ensure the nursery and all baby-related items are clean, tidy and organized. Typically our experts work a 20 hr shift, with 4 hours to rest and attend to personal matters.

 

Preemie and Multiple Care

We are mothers of preemies and multiples and are acutely aware of the unique set of concerns and anxiety that come with bringing these babies home. Rest assured that our caregivers are specifically trained in the care of preemies and multiples so you can rest confidently knowing your babies are in expert and caring hands.

Our NCSs and local NICU and pediatric nurses have years of training and experience working with preemies and multiples, specific machinery and vigilant attention they may require.

 

In-Home Visits

This service is intended for families that have just brought their baby/babies home and have a million questions. You can’t prepare for everything! After a few days at home, you probably have an idea about where you could use some additional guidance for your specific baby. Our Registered Nurses and Doulas will spend 4 hours addressing any of your questions and providing teaching around the following. The cost for this service is $200/visit:

Postpartum Doula Care

Our Doulas provide in-home evidence-based postpartum care to parents, baby, and siblings. All of our postpartum Doulas are trained to understand the physical, emotional, and practical needs of parents after bringing baby home. When you purchase a package of hours for a Doula, you can choose how you want to use these hours across a wide-spectrum of services including:

 

Lactation Consultations

Our team of IBCLC’s and Certified Lactation Counselors are available to provide feeding support and education on an as-needed basis. Their services can also be included as part of overnight, Doula and postpartum visits.
